We provide all the tackle and bait.

Things you'll need to bring charter fishing on Lake Superior:

  • A MN Fishing License with a Great Lakes Trout Stamp or One day Great Lakes License is necessary to board and catch fish on Lake Superior

  • A sports bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, hat, glasses etc and other personal items that you need on a charter fishing trip.

  • Bring a cooler for food and drinks.

  • Bring drinks to help keep yourself and your friends hydrated and happy. You can bring beer but you must be 21 years of age.

  • Bring sandwiches or food depending on the length of your charter.  You'll need to keep your energy up for reeling in the big trout we plan to catch.

  • Nothing can ruin fishing trip worse than seasickness.

  • If you get sea sick or aren't sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Bonine before you leave the dock.

  • Even in Duluth during the summer you can get a sun burn.  Make sure you bring sunscreen especially if your burn easy.

  • Bring sunglasses.  Preferably polarized fishing glasses to lessen the sun's glare that reflects off the water.

  • Starting out at 6 am means that you may need to dress in layers and bring some warm clothing to wear.  You'll want to be comfortable and the temps can change quickly.

  • Don't forget your rain gear when you go charter fishing on Lake Superior - The weather can change quickly.

  • A hat or ball cap is a good idea and protect your head from burning.

  • Wear comfortable shoes with traction, so you can anchor in while you're reeling in the big catch.

  • Bring a camera for video and still photos so you can show off the big one you caught.

  • Tipping is optional, but we hope we do a great job and earn your business; year after year.  Cash is a great thing to have for the restaurants or bars around the Duluth area when your charter is over.
